This blog, Food Processor Reviews  , was created after returning to work and discovering the magic of the food processor when it comes to cooking for my family. A couple of nights ago I once again threw a party at my place and used the my new Cuisinart ELITE Food Processor which I upgraded over the holidays from the Kitchenaid model. In the past I have used my food processor to make pretty much everything that we had on the menu and this was no different. We were celebrating my cousins 10th wedding anniversary and all my guests were asking me about the food and how much they enjoyed it.  As usual everything was prepared in just a few hours and clean-up was a breeze! I once again used it to make the pie crust! (My aunt taught me how to do this to cut in the butter instead of using the daunting pastry cutter!) and I also showed the Food Processor Reviews blog to my family and they loved it.  So here are my recommendations:

Food Processor Reviews Recommendation: The Best Food Processor

Here are my top three food processor picks and click on the pictures below to get more feedback:

Food Processor Reviews : THE WINNER : Cuisinart FP-14DC Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor

TOP CHOICE

This is my ultimate pick for a great food processor and that’s why its on the top of the food processor reviews list. This is the one I personally invested in and highly recommend that you do the same! I originally invested in this model because the ratings were so high on amazon.com  but I personally do prefer this food processor because of a few reasons:

  • It is esthetically pleasant
  • It too has a powerful motor and the blades also work very well! It can do everything!
  • It has a large capacity and an extra large sized feeding tube (so nothing gets stuck!)
  • It comes with extra blades and a recipe book already!

Product Features (Source: amazon)

  • 720-watt large-capacity food processor with intuitive “on” and “off/pulse” buttons
  • 14-cup Lexan work bowl; extra-large feed tube; small and large pushers
  • Stainless-steel slicing disc, shredding disc, chopping blade, and dough blade
  • Spatula, instruction/recipe booklet, and video included; dishwasher-safe parts
  • Measures 7-1/2 by 9-3/4 by 15-3/4 inches; 3-year limited warranty with 5-year warranty on motor

Food Processor Reviews : 1st Runner Up: Kitchendaid Kfp750

Food Processor Reviews 1st Runner Up

This is the model that I upgraded from  and  is 2nd on the food processor reviews list! Since I am now known as the “food processor advocate” in and around my family and friends, I tend to take over when I go over there!  Again, here are the reasons why I recommend this model:

  • It has a very powerful motor! That means the blades work really well to cut, chop, and especially shred cheese!
  • It is extremely quiet!
  • The smaller bowl that it comes with makes it easier if you are just doing a small job = less clean-up!
  • I can put everything in the dishwasher after making clean up quick and easy
  • It comes in a variety of colors to match your kitchen decor
  • I would also recommend investing in the package that contains the food processor unit, the 5 extra blades and the recipe handbook as the price for the blades alone outweighs the extra cost added to the package!

One disadvantage however is that the machine itself is slightly bulky and heavy making storage more difficult to find. This is needed however for the stronger motor and larger bowl capacity which makes it a better quality product but still on the top of the food processor reviews list.

Product Features (Source: amazon)

  • 700-watt food processor with 12-cup work bowl and multipurpose stainless-steel blade
  • Durable sealed housing creates sound barrier for quiet operation; pulse control
  • Dual feed tubes; 4-cup mini bowl with blade; assortment of standard accessories included
  • Base wipes clean easily; dishwasher-safe bowls, blades, and discs
  • Measures 16 1/8 by 8 5/16 by 10-2/5 inches; 1-year replacement warranty

Food Processor Reviews: Kitchenaid KFP 740

Food Processor Reviews 2nd runner-up

For those of you with smaller families, I am making this recommendation based on customer ratings and the performance of the KFP750 model and its 3rd on the food processor reviews list. The only difference here is that the unit has a smaller capacity and is less bulky. It is also less expensive. Also, as with the KFP750 model, I would also recommend investing in the package that includes the 5 blades and the recipe book.

Product Features (Source: amazon)

  • 9-cup work bowl and multipurpose stainless-steel blade
  • Durable sealed housing creates sound barrier for quiet operation; pulse control
  • Exclusive 4-cup mini bowl with blade; assortment of standard accessories included
  • Base wipes clean easily; dishwasher-safe bowls, blades, and discs
  • Measures 10-1/2 by 14-1/2 by 8-9/32 inches; 1-year replacement warranty

Food Processor Reviews: Food Processor Ratings

Who is the real deal? Food Processor Reviews Amazon vs Food Processor Reviews Cnet vs Food Processor Reviews Consumer Reports vs Food Processor Reviews America’s Test Kitchen

I’d stick with Amazon’s review system:

This is how the above models fared on amazon’s customer rating system and also in order of recommendation at food processor reviews list:

Cuisinart DFP14 also received 4 + stars out of 5.  I simply just LOVE it and as you know this is also my top pick for you to invest in.

Kitchenaid KFP750 received 4 + stars out of 5. This shows that it is a popular pick and is well-liked by the masses.

Kitchenaid KFP740 received 4 +stars out of 5 with. Again, this is a smaller model. If you are going to invest in a food processor, I recommend going with the larger capacity, just in case (KFP750).

A Genuine Food Processor Reviews Blog

This Food Processor Reviews Blog was created because of my story:

I, like many, am a single mother of two young children, who had just started back working at my office job from 9 to 5. I hardly had time to take a shower let alone prepare a gourmet meal! Making dinner every night became a huge endeavor and take-out dining was almost more normal than heart-filled home cooking.

After speaking to a few women at my son’s school and a few of my family members about their techniques for balancing work and home life (especially in the kitchen), it became clear to me that I needed to re-vamp my style of cooking into one of convenience, bulk-production, and fun for the kids! That is when I discovered the magic and created the Food Processor Reviews site.

Not only does a recipe that uses a food processor save time and energy, it saves on the monthly food tab! Instead of spending $12 on one, pre-made lasagna, I can use fresh, healthy ingredients to make 3 lasagnas at once on a Sunday afternoon – of which my large freezer has come in handy! Suddenly I am making all sorts of food-processor recipes including soups, dips, smoothies, coleslaws, salads, quiches, omelets, cupcakes, brownies and the list goes on!

When I decided to make this exciting investment, I quickly became overwhelmed with the amount of useless and (quite embarrassing) testimonial websites that were obviously sponsored by the product companies themselves. For anyone who has ever watched a late night infomercial, you know what I am talking about!

After doing countless hours of research online, speaking to friends and family, and testing products of friends and family, I made it my summer goal to find the best quality food processor for a price that makes the investment worth it! And since I know how many family-oriented people (the best kind of people!) would be thrilled to learn what I have learned, I am creating this blog to let you in on what I have discovered.

There are three important things I want you to share with you while you read through the Food Processor Reviews blog:

  1. How to read and interpret online ratings and reviews to help you choose the product that best meets your home cooking needs
  2. How to compare the actual food processor machines on a variety of different levels and features
  3. My top 3 recommendations for the best food processor and where you can buy these products quickly and conveniently!

Food Processor Reviews Tip 1: A Good Food Processor Review

Before you go searching for the best food processor on the market, there are a few things you should know about product reviews.

This food processor reviews blog recommends you look for reviews from a third party person. You do not want to be reading “testimonials” straight from a company’s website that make extravagant claims such as “requires no cleaning whatsoever!” If you have the spare time, you can find such reviews on websites for food recipes, magazines, kitchen supply stores, private blogs and television show websites.

Secondly, read the review critically. What are the pros of the product? What are it’s downsides or faults?

One of the best places to easily find highly credible reviews from real customers who have purchased the products is on the website that sells the product. I highly recommend Amazon as it is one of the highest traffic sales sites. Only customers that purchased the food processors come back to review their purchase, making the source both credible and reliable.

HOWEVER, after reading hundreds of reviews for nearly 50 makes and models, food processor reviews would recommend that you stick to taking your product advice from a trusted source such as a family of friend, or from someone like me, who has done the research, can tell you what features work and can save you time better spent with your family and the main reason I wrote this food processor reviews blog.

Food Processor Reviews Tip 2: How to Use Food Processor Ratings

Here is a quick note on product ratings. Ratings differ from reviews in that they provide a numerical scale value of a product based on votes by customers who have tried the product. They provide an accurate measure of the average customer experience as opposed to one person’s experience. For example, reading the review of an expert chef who finds the most luxurious of products the best may not be the best advice for you if you are a single mother wishing to save time. Ratings give you the comfort of knowing that the masses feel the same way about a product – a way of increasing the validity of the reviews.

On Amazon, ratings are given only by customers who have purchased the product. Again, given that it is a high-traffic website, there are usually many votes and ratings are given on a 1 to 5 star system and used highly by food processor reviews.

Food Processor Reviews Tip 3: How Food Processors Compare

Here are some questions to consider when comparing food processors and food processor reviews:

What is the price of the product? Are you willing to make the long-term investment for a high-quality product to serve your family?

What accessories does it come with? Does it come as a package with other accessories such as blades, recipe books?

How well does it perform various functions such as chopping, shredding, mixing, blending, slicing etc.?

What is the liter capacity of the unit? Will this fit your family’s recipe needs?

How heavy or bulky is the machine? Is it easy to store?

How easy is it to clean? Is it dishwasher safe?

Does it come with a manufacturers warranty?

What reputation does the store you are purchasing from have for its customer service? Do they offer no-risk trials or full money-back returns?

How much will it cost to ship the product of I buy it online? Do they offer free shipping?

Are there any customer complaints found in online reviews of the product?

Does the product have a high customer rating (e.g. 4 to 4.5 star rating on Amazon)?

Finding a food processor that (reliably) meets all of your family’s needs on all of the above levels may be a daunting task. I have done the research for you and have found 3 excellent choices, all of which are available to purchase from Amazon, a reliable and highly customer-focused site that food processor reviews has had nothing but successful and positive experience with!

Food Processor Reviews Tip 4: The Best Food Processor

KitchenAid KFP750CR 700-Watt 12-Cup Food Processor
